Added a ‘Tags’ Field to the ‘Assets’ Endpoints in the SM REST API.

What's changing? 

We've exposed a new 'Tags' field in the ‘Assets’ endpoints in the SightMap REST API. This brings the ability to sort through assets by their respective tags, in the Assets API response. This also allows us to expose when an asset has ‘expenses-enabled’ (via tag). This update went live in October 2025.

What to expect: 

You can now consume assets tags via the SightMap REST API so downstream systems can reason about asset readiness and attributes. Asset tags function identically to existing tag fields across SightMap (Unit Maps, SightMaps, Pricing & Availability, Embeds), providing a consistent tagging experience.

What do you need to do?

No action is required. The 'tags' field now appears automatically in API responses for all asset-related SM REST API calls. Full documentation is available in the SightMap REST API docs under the 'Assets' resources.
