Added Support for 30-Day Proration in the SightMap Calculator & API.

What’s changing?

We’ve introduced support for a 30-day proration method within the SightMap calculator experience. Previously, prorated expenses were calculated using the standard calendar-day method. With this update, clients can now apply a 30-day proration method to better align with their leasing and accounting requirements. This update went live in January 2026.

What to expect:

Clients now have greater flexibility in how move-in costs are calculated. The 30-day proration option can be applied to individual monthly expenses as well as base rent, allowing for more tailored configurations at the asset level.

When enabled, the SightMap calculator will automatically apply 30-day proration logic within the Move In Expenses section, ensuring accurate and consistent cost calculations for prospects. This enhancement supports a wider range of client pricing models while maintaining alignment across Atlas, the SightMap API, and the calculator experience.

What do you need to do?

If you want to set a monthly expense to use ’30 day’ proration, this can be set from the SightMap REST API. If you want to set base rent to use ’30 day’ proration reach out to your Engrain support representative.
