Updated the MITS Resource in the SightMap API for Increased Compatibility and Compliance.
We've enhanced the 'MITS' resource in the SightMap REST API (the GET: Property Marketing/ILS endpoint) to ensure full compliance with the MITS 5.0 schema.
What's changing?
Updates include a new "Property" wrapper tag with "ILS_Identification" and "Information" sub-sections, reclassified fee offer items by type (PetOfferItem, StorageOfferItem, etc.), and an update to the "Floorplan" tags to include an "IDValue" attribute. These changes improve structural accuracy for enterprise clients and partners who rely on this data downstream. This update went live in February 2026.
What to expect:
API consumers using the MITS resource in the SightMap REST API will receive responses that are fully aligned with MITS 5.0 processing requirements. Fee classifications are now more accurate, and the overall response structure is more reliable for downstream integrations.
What do you need to do?
No action is required. This update has been automatically applied to the MITS endpoint in the SightMap API. If your integration parses the XML response structure directly, please review the updated schema to confirm compatibility. The API documentation is here: https://api.sightmap.com/v1/openapi#tag/assetsmits-ils , and the request path is: GET: https://api.sightmap.com/v1/assets/{asset}/multifamily/mits/ils
