What's changing?

SightMap now supports stepped pricing across all platforms - giving you the flexibility to set tiered pricing based on quantity. This means you can charge different amounts for the same item depending on how many occurrences are selected, like $250 for the first pet and $150 for each additional pet.

Why this matters:

  • Real-world flexibility: Your calculator now mirrors actual property pricing with quantity-based discounts or increases

  • Transparent pricing: Prospects see accurate costs upfront, eliminating surprises.

  • Seamless integration: Works with existing features like proration and limits.

What do you need to do?

  • To create a new stepped expenses: Setup an expense via the API or the Smartsheet integration, and set the ‘value type’ to ‘stepped’. The add a value for each of the required steps for that expense.

  • To update an existing expense to be stepped: Update an expense via the API or the Smartsheet integration, and set the ‘value type’ to ‘stepped’. The add a value for each of the required steps for that expense.

  • Rules to consider: (1) When an expense has a value type of stepped - it requires at least two step values. (2) When When an expense has a value type of stepped and has a value cap - the value cap must be greater than any single step. (3) When an expense has a value type of stepped - it should be optional or only the first step will be accessible in the calculator.

Examples:

  • If you have a ‘Parking’ expense and with a limit of 3, and the first parking spot is $50 and the next two are $100. Then the expense should be set with a limit of 3, a stepped value type, and an input of $50 in step 1 + and input of $100 in step 2.

  • If you have a ‘Pet Rent’ expense with a limit of 5, and the first pet is $25, the next pet is $50, and any after that is $75. Then the expense should be set with a limit of 5, a stepped value type, and an input of $25 in step 1 + $50 in step 2 + and $75 in step 3.
