Updated the Character Limit to 150 for ‘Text’ based Expense Values in SightMap.

What's changing?

We've standardized the character limit for expense text amounts to create more consistent, reliable data across all systems. The 'text_amount' field now has a clear 150-character limit that's enforced across the entire platform for all expenses. This update went live in November 2025.

What to expect:

You'll now receive immediate, clear API feedback if an expense text amount exceeds 150 characters. This update prevents display issues and ensures expense information remains concise and easy to read in the calculator interface. 

What do you need to do?

No action is required. This improvement has been automatically applied to all expense management workflows. NOTE: While the limit is 150, the optimal character limit is closer to 50 for the best user experience - if you are displaying the SightMap calculator on your website.
